FOOTBALL SIGNS 24 STUDENT-ATHLETES TO NATIONAL LETTERS OF INTENT
Michigan Tech head football coach Tom Kearly today announced the addition of 24 student-athletes to the Huskies' roster for the 2010 season. Tech's incoming class includes 12 offensive players, 11 defensive players and a punter. Of the 24 student-athletes, 19 are from Michigan including four from the Upper Peninsula. Four players hail from Wisconsin, and one is from Minnesota.

HOUGHTON, Mich. — Senior wide receiver Bobby Slowik (Green Bay, Wis./Southwest) earned the Al Bovard Award as Michigan Tech football's most valuable player and 11 other student-athletes were honored yesterday as the team announced its 2009 awards.

FORMER HUSKY BERGER STARTS AT CENTER FOR NFL'S MIAMI DOLPHINS
MIAMI — Former Michigan Tech football player Joe Berger started his first career game in the National Football League last Sunday (Nov. 29). The Newaygo, Mich., native, who played for the Huskies from 2001-04, started at center for the Miami Dolphins in their game at the Buffalo Bills.
