HOUGHTON, Mich. - Michigan Tech won its final home match of the 2007 season as it defeated Lake Superior State, 3-0 (30-22, 30-21, 30-28), Friday. The Huskies improve to 9-16 overall and 7-11 in the GLIAC and the Lakers fall to 8-21 overall and 3-14 in the GLIAC.
The Huskies, who dominated nearly every statistical category, finished with a 14-4 advantage in blocks. The Black and Gold also hit .202 for the match compared to .043 for the Lakers.
Veronica Armstrong finished with a match-high 14 kills to lead the Huskies. Kali Jeter, playing in her final home match for Tech, finished with 10 kills and 24 digs. Kelsey Skoog also finished with 43 assists.
Sarah Hess and Ali Jones led the Lakers with six kills apiece.
