TESLAK SIGNS PRO CONTRACT WITH PHILADELPHIA FLYERS

HOUGHTON, Mich. - Junior Michael-Lee Teslak will forgo his senior season for the Michigan Tech hockey team after signing a free agent contract with the Philadelphia Flyers today (March 18).
After passing a physical, Teslak will dress Wednesday, March 18, in Hartford, Conn., for the Philadelphia Phantoms of the American Hockey League in a game against the Hartford Wolf Pack, an affiliate of the New York Rangers.
“This is something that he has dreamed about for a long time. We told him during the recruiting process that we could develop him and get him to the next level. We are proud of him and we wish him the best in his career,” said head coach Jamie Russell.
Teslak compiled a 26-33-11 record in 73 career games. He ranks third at Michigan Tech in career goals against average (2.66) and third in save percentage (.910). Last season he led the WCHA and finished third in the nation in goals against average (2.00). He was also named to the All-WCHA third team a year ago. Teslak was also named WCHA Player of the Week four times during his career.
