SHELAST AND ROULEAU SIGN PRO CONTRACTS

HOUGHTON, Mich. - The Michigan Tech hockey team had two players sign pro contracts on Wednesday (March 19). Senior Tyler Shelast signed a free agent contract with the Dallas Stars and will play for the Iowa Stars of the American Hockey League. Senior Peter Rouleau signed a free agent contract with the Idaho Steelheads of the East Coast Hockey League.

Shelast tallied 87 points (51 goals, 36 assists) in 151 career games for Michigan Tech. He was a constant scoring threat on the man advantage scoring 29 of his 51 goals on the power play. Shelast was named to the Great Lakes Invitational All-Tournament Team twice and was named to the WCHA All-Academic Team three times.

Rouleau tallied 63 points (19 goals, 42 assists) in 95 games during his three year career at Michigan Tech. He tallied a team-high 29 points (12 goals, 17 assists) this season after leading the team in scoring a year ago with 30 points (seven goals, 23 assists).
