DETROIT — The Michigan Tech-Northern Michigan football game will be televised live by FSN Detroit on Sept. 18. The television network, which is available on channel 33 on Charter Cable systems in the Houghton area, is available to more than 3.2 million households throughout Michigan and portions of northwest Ohio and northern Indiana.
FSN Detroit will carry the NCAA Productions telecast of the game, which will also be shown on CBS College Sports Network.
“This is great news for Michigan Tech and the GLIAC (Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference),” said Tech athletics director Suzanne Sanregret. “FSN Detroit is available to a very high number of our alumni in Michigan, and the visibility that our student-athletes and university will receive will be outstanding.”
FSN Detroit is home to approximately 350 live local events per year among the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, Detroit Pistons, Detroit Shock, Central College Hockey Association, Michigan High School Athletic Association football and basketball championships, as well as other events of local interest. FSN Detroit also currently delivers more than 160 games annually in high-definition among its Tigers, Red Wings and Pistons schedules.
