HOUGHTON, Mich. — The Michigan Tech men’s and women’s basketball teams will host the Little Huskies Basketball League (LHBL) at the Student Development Complex multi-purpose gymnasium beginning Saturday (Sept. 12). The league, featuring Tech student-athletes as coaches, is open to all youth entering third through eighth grades.
The LHBL runs on Saturdays from Sept. 12 to Oct. 17 with the boys’ session from 8-10 a.m. and the girls’ from 10 a.m.-noon. Each session will start with instruction on basketball fundamentals and end with basketball games.
Cost is $30 per child and $15 for each additional family member. League participants receive instruction from Michigan Tech players and coaches, a LHBL T-shirt and free admission to Tech home games by wearing their T-shirt.
