RALEIGH, N.C. - Former Michigan Tech Husky John Scott (2002-06) scored his first career NHL goal Sunday (Nov. 15) in the Minnesota Wild’s 5-4 shoot out loss to the Carolina Hurricanes. He scored the seventh goal of the game and the third for the Wild on a backhanded shot at 14:06 of the second period. He was assisted by Kim Johnsson and Owen Nolan.
Scott, a native of St. Catharines, Ont., has played 35 career games for the Wild and has two points (one goal, one assist).
