HOUGHTON, Mich. - Future Michigan Tech forward Tanner Kero was named Player of the Week for the North American Hockey League after he rang up three goals and two assists as the Marquette Rangers skated to a two-game sweep over Alpena IceDiggers. On Friday, the Hancock, Mich., native scored a pair of goals in a 5-3 victory. The next night, the 17-year-old put home another goal and two assists as the Rangers doubled up the IceDiggers, 4-2. Kero, was also a plus-1 for the weekend, leads the NAHL in goals with 24.
“Tanner has been an impact player for us all year,” said Rangers head coach Kenny Miller. “He’s a true goal-scorer with great vision.”
