HOUGHTON, Mich. — Michigan Tech head football coach Tom Kearly today announced the addition of 24 student-athletes to the Huskies’ roster for the 2010 season.

Tech’s incoming class includes 12 offensive players, 11 defensive players and a punter. Of the 24 student-athletes, 19 are from Michigan including four from the Upper Peninsula. Four players hail from Wisconsin, and one is from Minnesota.

“We’re very excited about this class,” said Kearly, who begins his fourth season as the Huskies’ head coach. “This is the best year we’ve had for addressing every position.

“We were fortunate to get the skill players we wanted, we solidified both the offensive and defensive lines and we picked up several quality defensive backs.”

Michigan Tech will enter the 2010 season looking to improve on a 10th place finished in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference. The Huskies wrapped up the decade with a 55-47 record.
