LILBURN, Ga. — The Michigan Tech women’s basketball team will spend its 13th straight week ranked in the nation’s top five as the Huskies remained at No. 4 in this week’s USA TODAY/ESPN Division II Coaches’ Poll.

Tech won both of its games last week with a 75-71 double overtime win at Grand Valley State last Thursday (Jan. 28) and a 75-58 victory at Ferris State last Saturday (Jan. 30). The Huskies have won eight straight games to improve their overall record to 18-1. They lead the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference by two games with a 13-1 league slate.

Franklin Pierce (19-0) continues to be the nation’s top-ranked team followed by Indianapolis (21-0), Gannon (22-0) and Michigan Tech (18-1). Quincy, which re-appeared in the top 25 after falling out last week, joins Indianapolis and Tech as a third member of the Midwest Region in the top 25.

Michigan Tech hosts two home games this week with a Thursday (Feb. 4) game vs. Tiffin and a Saturday (Feb. 6) contest vs. Ashland.
