Michigan Tech hosts the 50th Great Lakes Invitational on Dec. 28-29 at Joe Louis Arena. The Huskies play Michigan at 3:30 p.m. in the first semifinal. Michigan State and Ferris State play in the 7 p.m. semifinal with winners advancing to Monday's championship game.

Women's Basketball Enters Top 25
The Michigan Tech women's basketball team earned its first national ranking since early last season with a No. 20 position in this week's Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) Division II Poll. The Huskies last ranking was a No. 22 mark on Nov. 18, 2013.

Hockey Ranked Fifth This Week
Michigan Tech dropped a spot to No. 5 in both the USCHO.com and USA Today/USA Hockey Magazine polls. Tech is 13-3-0 overall and on top of the WCHA standings with 20 points and a 10-2-0 mark in league play.

Michigan Tech knocked off No. 8-ranked Wayne State 68-55 in a battle of undefeated teams today at the SDC Gym. Sharita Brown had 20 points and 21 rebounds for the Warriors, but Tech got double figures scoring from four players to move to 7-0 overall and 4-0 in the GLIAC.

Ben Stelzer hit five first-half 3-pointers and finished the game with 28 points to guide Michigan Tech to a 72-61 victory over Wayne State in GLIAC men’s basketball today at the SDC Gym. The senior ended the game with six makes from long range as part of an 11-for-21 effort by the Huskies from behind the arc.

Bulldogs Defeat Tech In Top 10 Battle Friday
Goaltender Jamie Phillips had a career-high 38 saves on Friday (Dec. 12) night, but No. 9 Minnesota Duluth jumped out to a 2-0 lead on No. 4 Michigan Tech and held on to defeat the Huskies 3-1. Tech fell to 12-3-0 on the season.

Tech Men Down Findlay 70-59 in Home Opener
Ben Stelzer knocked down two 3-pointers in the final two minutes and scored 24 points to lead Michigan Tech to a 70-59 victory over Findlay in the Huskies’ home opener tonight. Stelzer turned a four-point margin into a seven-point gap twice down the stretch to give Tech its first GLIAC win (4-2 overall, 1-2 GLIAC).
