NEW YORK — Michigan Tech hockey recruit Jake Jackson has earned a ranking of No. 143 among North American skaters on the NHL's Central Scouting Midterm Rankings.
Jackson, who is currently playing for Tartan (Minn.) High School, is averaging 2.12 points per game. He has 17 goals and 17 assists for 34 total points in just 16 contests.
The center from Oakdale, Minn., has led his squad to a 14-2 record just over halfway through the season.
Jackson was one of eight Michigan Tech recruits who signed during the early period in November.
"Jake has proven himself to be an elite player in Minnesota high school hockey this season," said Tech assistant coach Damon Whitten. "His skating ability makes him a dangerous player every shift. We are very excited for what Jake has accomplished with Tartan to this point and are really looking forward to his continued development. It's a great accomplishment for Jake to be recognized by NHL Central Scouting and knowing Jake, this will drive him to work even harder towards his goals."
