Tyler Patterson enters his third year as a graduate assistant coach working with the cross country and track and field teams. In 2012, he coached Dylan Anderson to a school record in the 800 (1:51.02) and a ninth place finish at the NCAA Div. II Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Patterson, who was an All-GLIAC selection in the 800 at Grand Valley State, provisionally qualified for the NCAA track and field championships for the Lakers. He received an undergraduate degree in environmental science from GVSU and is pursuing a masters degree in enviornmental policy at Michigan Tech.
