Lebedeva Named GLIAC Player of the Week
BAY CITY, Mich. — Michigan Tech tennis player Natalia Lebedeva (Nakhodka, Russia) has been named the GLIAC Women's Tennis Player of the Week for Sept. 4-10.
Lebedeva improved to 6-0 at both No. 1 singles and No. 1 doubles on the season with three wins at each position last week. The junior surrendered just nine games in six sets during singles play to open her conference season at 3-0. She and doubles partner Dunja Imran Al-Sous lost just four games in three pro sets in a trifecta of wins at No. 1 doubles.
Lebedeva is one of three undefeated players in the lineup who have propelled the Huskies to a 6-0 team start.
Michigan Tech continues its 2012-13 schedule this weekend with GLIAC three matches in Ohio.
