BAY CITY, Mich. - Michigan Tech sophomore Shelby Jones recently earned All-GLIAC honorable mention honors for women's volleyball.
"This recognition is well deserved to say the least," said head coach Matt Jennings. "Shelby has been our workhorse all season. Her contributions on offense, on defense and in serve receive were, and will continue to be, vital to our team. Shelby carried a big load for us, especially for only being a sophomore. I'm happy for her, very proud and excited to see her build from here next fall."
The Regina, Saskatchewan, native led the team and ranked in the top-10 in the league in five categories, seventh in kills (365), eighth in kills per set (3.15), second in attempts (1190), seventh in points (414.5) and eighth in points per set (3.6).
