  • Huskies Add Two for 2019 Season with Radtke and Kuizenga

    Head coach Matt Jennings and the Michigan Tech volleyball program have announced the addition of two new players to the squad for the 2019 season. Jillian Kuizenga (St. Charles, Ill.) and Morgan Radtke (Elk Mound, Wis.) have both signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at Michigan Tech.

    Michigan Tech volleyball players Laura DeMarchi and Olivia Ghormley have been named All-Midwest Region by the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) on Wednesday. DeMarchi and Ghormley become the 17th and 18th Michigan Tech players to receive All-Region honors, and the first since Jen Jung and Veronica Armstrong back in 2008.

    The No. 5 seed Michigan Tech volleyball team sees their season come to an end as they fall 3-0 (16-25, 17-25, 20-25) to No. 4 seed Lewis in the First Round of the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament inside the O’Reilly Family Event Center on the campus of Drury University. Michigan Tech ends its 2018 season with a record of 23-7.

  • Ghormley Earns Google Cloud Division II Academic All-District Honors

    Michigan Tech volleyball player Olivia Ghormley has been named to the Google Cloud Academic Division II All-District Volleyball First Team. The Google Cloud Academic All-District Teams, selected by CoSIDA, recognize the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
  • Michigan Tech Faces Lewis in Midwest Regional Tournament Opener

    The Michigan Tech volleyball team is back in the NCAA postseason for the second year in a row, and the Huskies will take on Lewis in the first round of the 2018 NCAA Division II Midwest Regional Tournament. The Huskies and Flyers will battle it out on Thursday (Nov. 15) from inside the O'Reilly Center on the campus of Drury University, the region's top seed.

Additionally, DeMarchi, Ghormley, and Mariah Sherman have been named All-GLIAC First Team, while Megan Utlak received All-GLIAC Honorable Mention recognition.

With the win, the Huskies improve to 23-5 on the year as they advance to the next round.

    No. 24 Michigan Tech was swept for the first time all season in a 3-0 defeat (21-25, 12-25, 17-25) to eighth-ranked Ferris State on Friday inside the Ewigleben Sports Arena. The loss snaps Michigan Tech’s streak of nine straight wins over GLIAC opponents, and puts their record at 21-5 overall and 13-2 in the GLIAC.
