HOUGHTON, Mich. – The game times for Michigan Tech's Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference basketball doubleheader against Davenport University this Saturday have been changed. The Tech men will now play Davenport at 1 p.m. followed by the Tech women at 3 p.m. in the regular season finales for both teams on Senior Day in the SDC Gym.
The Michigan Tech women's basketball team clinched the 2018 GLIAC North Division title with two wins last week over Ferris State and Lake Superior State. It's the 15th overall regular season conference championship in program history and fifth under Head Coach Kim Cameron. Tech also secured the No. 2 seed in the upcoming GLIAC Tournament and will host a quarterfinal game on February 28th in the SDC.
In order to celebrate the success of this year's team and the division title, the game will be played second allowing time following the contest to cut down the nets in the SDC and recognize the players and coaches for their outstanding achievement.
The Huskies will open the final week of the regular season on Thursday night against Wayne State University. The women's game will tip-off at 5:30 p.m. followed by the men's game at 7:30 p.m.
