    The Michigan Tech cross country program and head coach Jake Isaacson have announced the schedule for the 2019 season. The Michigan Tech women finished the year with a seventh-place finish at the 2019 NCAA Division II National Championships, while the men’s team placed seventh at the Midwest Regional Championships.

  • Six Huskies attended NHL Development Camps

    Michigan Tech had five current and one former player at NHL Development Camps over the last month. Robbie Beydoun (Detroit), Seamus Donohue (Philadelphia), Brian Halonen (Dallas), Matt Jurusik (Pittsburgh), and Colin Swoyer (St. Louis) were all invites while Jake Lucchini was also in Pittsburgh where he signed in the spring.

    Seven prominent NCAA Division I men’s hockey playing institutions have announced the exploration of a new Division I men’s hockey conference that would begin play with the 2021-2022 season. The seven institutions include: Bemidji State University; Bowling Green State University; Ferris State University; Lake Superior State University; Michigan Technological University; Minnesota State University, Mankato; and Northern Michigan University.
  • Liz Bloch Earns GLIAC Commissioner's Award

    Liz Bloch from the Michigan Tech track & field received a 2019 Spring GLIAC Commissioner’s Award the league office announced on Monday (June 24). Bloch was a two-time All-American in 2019 and had a 3.87 grade-point average.

    The Michigan Tech Huskies earned three awards in the 2018-19 CoSIDA Publications and Digital Design Contest. CoSIDA announced the award recipients on Tuesday (June 18), following last week’s annual convention at the Orlando Marriot World Center.

It was the third straight year Tech was honored in the Digital Video Segment category.

    Michigan Tech cross country and track & field student-athletes Liz Bloch and Emily Byrd have been named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District District 4 Division II Women’s Track & Field/Cross Country Teams for their accomplishments on the field and in the classroom. Bloch and Byrd are two of 16 student-athletes selected to represent District 4, which consists of institutions from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, the Great Lakes Valley Conference, and the Great Midwest Athletic Conference.
