HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech track & field team and Michigan Tech Recreation held their Track & Field Clinic from inside the SDC Multipurpose Gym on March 23.
With head coach Jake Isaacson and a number of Michigan Tech track & field student-athletes as position coaches, over 20 middle school and high school track & field athletes were taught skills such as hurdling technique, proper warm-ups and stretching, vaulting, sprint starting positions, throws, and more.
Registration is currently open for the 2019 Michigan Tech Cross Country Running Camp. Held on August 1-3 from the Michigan Tech Running Trails, the camp is open to all runners in grades 9-12. Details and online registration for the Cross Country Running Camp can be found here.
The Michigan Tech track & field team concluded their 2019 season this past weekend at the 2019 GLIAC Outdoor Track & Field Championships, where the men placed fifth and the women finished sixth in the team standings. The Michigan Tech women's cross country team finished seventh at the 2018 NCAA Division II Cross Country National Championships in December, their highest team finish at the National Championships in program history.
