Michigan Tech freshman McKenzie Hengesh scored one goal and assisted on the other in a 2-2 draw at Ohio Dominican in GLIAC soccer action Friday (Sept. 9). The tie is the first in school history for the Huskies.

The Michigan Tech women's soccer team has high hopes for the 2011 campaign. The Huskies return 17 players from the inaugural season, where they finished with a 7-10-0 overall record and a 5-10-0 mark in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference play.
The Michigan Tech women's soccer team has helped local schools participate in March is Reading Month by returning to their roots and reading to classes of elementary-aged students from Houghton and Chassell. The experience has given the athletes an opportunity to influence future potential Huskies off the field.
