HOUGHTON, Mich. – The Michigan Tech soccer team will be hosting the "Kick with Kids" soccer clinic on Saturday (Oct. 19) from Sherman Field at Kearly Stadium. The event will be free of charge and open to children of all ages from 12-1 p.m. on Saturday as they participate in a skills-oriented clinic with coaches and student-athletes from the soccer team.
"It's an opportunity for parents and kids to come out and have some fun playing soccer with our players and participate in skills lessons and scrimmages," said head coach Michelle Jacob. "It's our way of saying thank you for the support we get from the community, especially the Copper Country Soccer Association for providing us with the best ball boys and girls in the GLIAC."
In addition to the one-day clinic, participants will receive free admission to the Michigan Tech soccer match on Sunday (Oct. 20) at noon against Grand Valley State, and members of the team will be available following the match for a free poster signing.
